Whispering Pines Night Socials 9/11 Doubles Event

The Whispering Pines 9/11 Doubles Social Tournament was truly a special evening filled with remembrance, friendship, competition, and community spirit.

We were blessed with beautiful weather, an outstanding turnout, and the opportunity to come together for an event that was about much more than just pickleball. Before play began, participants paused to honor the memory of those who lost their lives on September 11, 2001, the families forever impacted, and the courageous first responders and heroes whose sacrifice and service will never be forgotten.

As the matches got underway, the courts came alive with energy, sportsmanship, and laughter. Players competed hard, encouraged one another, and enjoyed an evening of great doubles action. From exciting rallies to new friendships and lasting memories, the event reflected everything that makes the Whispering Pines community so special.

Congratulations to all of our participants and medal winners for making the tournament such a success. Most importantly, thank you to everyone who joined us and helped create such a meaningful and memorable night.

This event was a reminder that pickleball is more than a game. It is an opportunity to connect, build friendships, celebrate community, and enjoy the freedom to gather together doing what we love.
